The Zematra Total Sediment Tester is an high-precision benchtop instrument built for the accurate quantification of insoluble substances in distillate and residual fuel oils. It ensures strict compliance with marine fuel standards ISO 8217, and core testing protocols ASTM D4870, IP 375, and ISO 10307.

Available in 2-, 4-, or 6-position configurations, the unit features an integrated vacuum circuit, a heating/cooling system, and sintered brass discs. The tester accurately measures total sediment up to 0.50% m/m in residual fuels, accommodating viscosities up to 55 mm²/s at 100 °C.

To complete the testing setup, complementary equipment such as a vacuum pump and precision balance is available. For sample preparation, an optional Aging Bath (available in 6- or 15-position models) supports thermal treatment and accelerated aging procedures in accordance with IP 390 / Test Appendix.
