Next-Generation (HFRR) High Frequency Reciprocating Rig

PCS Instruments Ltd

The next-generation PCS HFRR delivers enhanced accuracy, control, and usability for fuel and lubricant testing. Its active environmental control eliminates the need for salt solutions and enables rapid, precise stabilization of humidity and temperature. Updated software supports user tracking and controlled access to calibration, while the compact design saves bench space without sacrificing performance.

The system measures friction using a piezo force transducer and evaluates lubricity by assessing the ball’s wear scar after testing. Additional features include a wipe-clean stainless-steel interior, visual and audio test-completion cues, and advanced self-diagnostics to reduce downtime. Fully compatible with existing HFRR accessories and compliant with ISO 12156, ASTM D6079, and ASTM D7688, it remains the industry standard for diesel, gasoline, and lubricant analysis.
